Мы часто и велосипеды берём напрокат, по городу покататься.

Брать/ взять напрокат + велосипеды, ролики, машину (the Accusative case) — to rent bicycles, roller skates, a car.

он берёт они берут	он возьмёт они возьмут

Кататься/покататься на велосипеде (на + the Prepositional case) means to ride a bike without a certain purpose or itinerary, just for fun.
По городу — the preposition по + the Dative case means around the city.
