To call someone’s attention or to apologize we say извини (на ты) or извинИТЕ (на вы).

Извини, Иван, а это кто такой?

Vera says извини to Ivan because they are friends and they say ты to each other.

Vera is using a very vivid colloquial construction а это кто такой? (and who is this?) which is the same as a plain кто это? The word такой doesn’t mean anything and is used only to put an emphasis on the question кто?

1Possessive pronouns

In Russian, possessive pronouns change according to gender and the number of the words they qualify.

Take a closer look at the table. Have you noticed that the forms of the 3 rd person singular and plural are always the same? _Это круто!_ – That’s cool! Here we also introduce the plural forms which we will study later (in Lesson 5).

Pay attention to the question чей/чья/чьё/чьи? It also changes according to gender and the number of the word it qualifies.
